The Freaky wave is a collection of badly drawn, ill conceived cartoons of a nautical genre.

Much to my own surprise, I ‘ve managed to hold down a monthly slot with Nautilus (formally numast telegraph) continually since 1998.

A weekly cartoon with the Gibraltar Chronicle for three years… A non nautical strip called “Rock and a Hard Place”.

As well as those regular features, I’ve also sold cartoons to
– Informa Media Group.
– Maritime CEO Magazine.

I cartoon weekly for www.splash24/7.com and www.britishseafarers.co.uk
Personalised “one off” cartoons for the likes of birthdays / retirements etc are a particular forte of mine.

In addition to paid work I love helping out maritime charities in general such as www.sailorssocety.co.uk.

I’ve had the pleasure of following www.coxlesscrew.com with a cartoon for their daily blog on their epic record breaking Pacific row.

Following Team Warsash 24 hour liferaft challenge on behalf of sail4cancer.org has led to a whole bunch of cartoons (45 in total) being auctioned off at the annual Superyachts Charity Ball.

You would have thought with all this drawing, the “product” would have improved over the years…… But sadly, alas … no.

If you’d like to commission any work, big / small, nautical or not.
I’d be more than happy to hear from you.
